CONFERENCE ON SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION, INNOVATION AND GOVERNANCE IN EMERGING ECONOMIES

The conference on sustainable economic transformation, innovation and governance is organised by Midlands State University, Zimbabwe. The purpose of this conference is to bring together researchers from around the globe, to present and discuss issues to do with sustainable development, social and economic development, entrepreneurship, financial innovation, financial inclusion, anti corruption initiatives and governance. The emphasis of the conference will be on premium quality, theoretical as well as applied research on issues relating to contemporary development issues, innovation and business in digital environments and corruption and governance issues as well as other emerging trends in the current operating environment.

The conference will focus (not exclusively) on the following:

Economic Transformation

Financial inclusion for economic growth, contemporary economic development issues in low to middle economies, sustainable development and poverty alleviation through tourism , development and growth of SMEs, Retail and logistics in SMEs

Innovation

ICT for resource constrained environments, digital marketing, digital economies.

Governance

Anti corruption and governance in Africa, Corporate governance in developing economies.

PhD students’ symposium

All business and commerce related papers will be considered. Best papers will be awarded prizes

Submission dates

Abstracts of between 150-300 words should be submitted by 31 October 2018, to commerceconference@staff.msu.ac.zw




Acceptance process

Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified through e-mail by 02 November 2018 and will be requested to submit full papers for presentation at the conference by 14 December 2018. All submissions should use Harvard style of referencing and be sent as an attachment to commerceconference@staff.msu.ac.zw. Deadline for registration is 4 January 2019.
